Step 1. Find the finish line.
Choose one thing you want your business to do this month.

Example:
B2C: Increase online sales by 5%
B2B: Increase referrals to 3 per month

Step 2. Find the friction. What’s stopping this from happening now?

Example:
B2C: People come to your site but don’t purchase.
B2B: You’ve never asked for referrals. Clients aren’t thinking about it.

Step 3. FIX it with weekly microtasks.

B2C Example: Converting more traffic to purchase.
Week 1 Analysis: Check your analytics to see where they leave your site. Write 3 improvements.

Week 2: Get rid of the friction. Implement improvement 1 (eg. a left something in your basket email)

Week 3: Implement improvement 2 (eg. put a purchasing Call to Action above the fold on every page)

Week 4: Implement improvement 3 (create an offer they can’t refuse, and put it above the fold).

B2B Example: Getting more referrals
Week 1 Analysis: Document who has referred and who are your top potential referrers. Write 3 impactful actions.

Week 2: Get rid of the friction. Implement Action 1. (make your business easy to talk about with a one pager that explains the outcomes it brings. Have it as a pdf and on your site.)

Week 3:  Implement Action 2 (Send your current referrers a small gift and a personal message letting them know what it means to your business and team. Link to your webpage / attach a pdf with your succinct information.)

Week 4: Implement Action 3 (Send an email / call people / personal emails letting them know that you’re open to referrals.)
